Eagle

I really enjoyed living in Eagle, Idaho. There were great friends in D.U.P. (Daughters of Utah Pioneers) and the "Empty Nesters" home evening group. Pam and Craig's family lived two blocks from my nice little condo. It was so fun to go to Jordan and Cameron's school activities and be in Pam and Craig's ward.
Kim and Sandy's youngest daughter, Hilary, married Adam Barrett in the Salt Lake Temple in June 2010.

My brother Ellis celebrated his 80th birthday this year and was given a party at the local church.

In July, Jason's wife Christina gave birth to their first child, Roselyn Bartschi. Just a few days later, Dana gave birth to her second child, Jacob Critchfield. What fun it was to welcome two new great-grandbabies in the same week!

Pam's son, Brandon, proposed to his girlfriend, Tianna Rogalsky, in September and they were married in the Boise Temple on December 18th, which was mine and Garry's 51st wedding anniversary! It was a beautiful winter reception.

Kim and Sandy welcomed a new daughter-in-law when Gregg and Emily were married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple in February.

Jared Bartschi received his mission call to the Tulsa, Oklahoma Mission in July. He left in November and served in many of the same areas where Garry had served 50 years before.

Kim and Sandy welcomed two new grandbabies as Christina and John had their third child, Kylie Jennet Mitchem, in October, and Scott and Julie had their first baby, Darci Marlene Bowen, just before Thanksgiving.

2012
One weekend when I went to Utah, I took Cindy's daughter, Emily, for a walk around the block. We walked past this little pink house around the corner by Cindy's. The owners were out in front and I said, "If you ever move from here I hope you will let me buy your house, as it is so close to my daughter's!" A week later, she called Cindy and said her husband just got a transfer and they wanted to sell their house! It was perfect timing, as I hadn't renewed my condo contract in Eagle. So Pam's boys and all the wonderful Eagle ward loaded up the U-Haul. Brandon drove the truck while Tianna brought my car down to Bountiful in May. Jed and his hired man spent weeks painting and cleaning so it looked like home after we moved in on September 20th.
